{"id":855,"date":"2013-04-24T19:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-04-24T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shadowcovenant.com\/blog\/2013\/04\/24\/dishonored\/"},"modified":"2013-04-24T19:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-04-24T18:00:00","slug":"dishonored","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/shadowcovenant.com\/blog\/2013\/04\/24\/dishonored\/","title":{"rendered":"Dishonored&hellip;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/shadowcovenant.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/dishonored_005.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"dishonored_005\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"dishonored_005\" src=\"http:\/\/shadowcovenant.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/dishonored_005_thumb.jpg\" width=\"581\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Speaking of games I\u2019ve finished a short time ago, here\u2019s another one: Dishonored\u2026 And while Heart of the Swarm was a game that game me untold joy, this one was one of the major disappointments for some time now\u2026<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">First the good part: the damn game looks like a painting in motion, which is totally awesome and it has a fascinating environment\u2026 It has an awesome \u201cteleport\u201d mechanic, but that\u2019s basically it!<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The game has excelent combat systems, but then it punishes the player for using them, since you can only get the \u201cgood ending\u201d if you keep the body count low\u2026 I understand this is a stealth game, but in that case they should have made stealth much more fun than it is (like in Deus Ex or Thief)\u2026 no, the stealth mechanics are totally boring on this one, because you can think you\u2019re fully hidden but be seen\u2026 they should have added some sort of \u201chidden\u201d HUD element, because it\u2019s hard being sure of being totally hidden in a first person game\u2026<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Then we get to the worst part of the game: the storyline\u2026 without spoiling it, the story is bloody stupid\u2026 the evil plan is moronic, the counter-plan is also moronic, and there\u2019s no dishonored involved in any way, since basically everyone knows you are being framed for the murder of the empress\u2026 So, what I felt playing this game was zero empathy with the main character, which might have been so very cool\u2026 and what\u2019s up with making a character super cool, if you never can see it?!
