{"id":902,"date":"2013-04-27T20:15:38","date_gmt":"2013-04-27T19:15:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shadowcovenant.com\/blog\/2013\/04\/27\/id-like-to-have-music\/"},"modified":"2013-04-27T20:15:38","modified_gmt":"2013-04-27T19:15:38","slug":"id-like-to-have-music","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/shadowcovenant.com\/blog\/2013\/04\/27\/id-like-to-have-music\/","title":{"rendered":"I&rsquo;d like to have music&hellip;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u2026but I can\u2019t seem to find the right way to do it\u2026<\/p>\n<p>To unwind, I went and searched for a way to get music for my game (although it\u2019s only scheduled for tomorrow)\u2026<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve played around with <a href=\"www.inudge.net\">iNudge<\/a>, and although I managed to get a decent enough song for my game, I can\u2019t seem to find a way to save it\u2026 besides, I don\u2019t know the license on it as well, although I guess it\u2019s ok to use it (since it\u2019s on the tools page of the compo)\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Also tried the trance generator on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anticulture.net\">www.anticulture.net<\/a>, and some of the songs generated are quite good (with some tweaking, but since it exports MIDI, shouldn\u2019t be too hard to achieve)\u2026 but again, can\u2019t find if we\u2019re allowed to use the music generated in a game\u2026<\/p>\n<p>In previous compos, I\u2019ve used <a href=\"http:\/\/tones.wolfram.com\/\">Wolfram Tones<\/a>, but someone pointed out to me that their license doesn\u2019t allow for use in a game and such\u2026 <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-sadsmile\" style=\"border-top-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-bottom-style: none; border-right-style: none\" alt=\"Sad smile\" src=\"http:\/\/shadowcovenant.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/wlEmoticon-sadsmile1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I could grab my electrical guitar, but I doubt I\u2019m skilled enough to build a song for this sort of game with it\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, I\u2019ll find something that I can actually use or I\u2019ll have to remove the cobwebs of my old Impulse Tracker and find me some sample banks!
