Something Fishy

While trying to get funding for more ambitious games, Spellcaster Studios three-man team was working on a casual title called “Something Fishy”, where the player had to catch some fishes in the right order and of the right colour.

While the game was fun and was finished, we had difficulty in getting it to the market: with no budget for advertisement, so we wanted to get a publisher to take it on the big portals and market it. Sadly, we never found one and the game never was released.

It was programmed in C++ with the Spellbook engine. All game design and programming was done by me.

Some years later, I built a tablet version of the game as a hobbie project to get some mobile device experience (using Marmalade), but never fully finished it (the gameplay didn’t work so well with touch as it did with mouse control).
